Job summary

Green Valley Academy, part of the Unibridge Group, seeks a Lecturer for the BSc (Hons) Public Health with Foundation Year. You will deliver teaching, contribute to curriculum development and support student success across a range of modules within the programme.

The role offers 37.5 hours/week, with a focus on high-quality teaching, assessment and scholarly activity while maintaining programme standards and ensuring student engagement.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Public Health or related discipline.
• Master's degree in Public Health or related subject.
• PhD/Professional Doctorate in a relevant discipline.
• FHEA fellowship or willingness to achieve.
• Professional registration with UKPHR/RSPH/FPH or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in Higher Education or Further Education.
• Experience delivering lectures, seminars or workshops.
• Experience designing and assessing student work.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage diverse student groups.
• Good digital literacy with VLEs (Moodle/Canvas/Blackboard).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical learning sessions.
• Develop and review teaching materials to align with learning outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality teaching using blended and technology-enhanced approaches.
• Maintain attendance, engagement and progress records.
• Provide academic guidance and timely feedback to students.
• Monitor attendance and progression; refer to support services when needed.
• Design, deliver and mark assessments in line with requirements.
• Engage in scholarship, CPD and research activities.
