Public Conveniences Cleaner – Devils Bridge

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

We are looking to recruit a Cleaner to undertake various cleaning responsibilities to ensure that the Council’s Public Conveniences are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.

The Cleaning Service provides an essential service throughout the County of Ceredigion. The purpose of the role is to undertake cleaning tasks, providing a high standard of service ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

Whilst experience and knowledge of Health and Safety would be advantageous, full training will be provided. Good communication skills are required.

All roles will require flexibility in terms of location and hours worked, which could include early mornings and evenings.

You should have the ability to work on your own initiative.

On a day-to-day basis, the tasks will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying litter bins, damp wiping, and dusting of designated areas and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate the necessary powered equipment; ensuring that adequate supplies of consumables, such as soap and toilet rolls, are available; and reporting all faults and hazards to the Supervisor, so that action can be taken to resolve them.

We are looking for an individual who is motivated and enthusiastic about the nature of the work with a flexible attitude and able to carry out various duties with a variable work schedule.

Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
