As the Public Affairs Officer in the External Affairs team at Women’s Aid, you will play a pivotal role in our government and parliamentary engagement work. This includes monitoring parliamentary activity, identifying opportunities to influence the political agenda, and keeping parliamentarians informed on issues related to domestic abuse.
You will support influencing efforts with the new government on legislation, contribute to Women’s Aid’s upcoming campaigns, and assist with the secretariat role to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Domestic Violence and Abuse. Responsibilities also include organising meetings and events for the APPG and political stakeholders, and developing public affairs and campaign materials such as policy bulletins, briefings, speaking notes, and letters to government ministers.
