The Role

You will support the delivery of MAG’s Public Affairs strategy, enhancing stakeholder engagement across Manchester Airport’s catchment in the North, Wales, and Scotland. Your responsibilities include assisting the Director of Corporate Affairs with stakeholder engagement, supporting projects like surface access improvements, promoting Manchester Airport’s role as the UK’s global gateway, and contributing to the airport’s growth within the sustainability agenda.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in politics, business, and local government.
  • Brief stakeholders on MAG priorities and advocate on behalf of the business.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant policy areas and provide briefings internally and externally.
  • Keep senior leaders informed of policy developments affecting the airport.
  • Organize stakeholder activities and events aligned with objectives.
Success Criteria
  • Experience in political, public affairs, or external relations environments.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, confident in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written communication, information monitoring, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
