Job summary
The Cricketers Inn, part of WH Pubs Ltd, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the manager and deputy in day-to-day pub operations. The role is hands-on and varied, covering people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and administration.
Live-in accommodation is available, and progression within the company is encouraged. You should be passionate about food and drink, enjoy leading a team and delivering great guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Good organisational and leadership skills.
- Presence of mind and a cordial manner with customers.
- Firm and tactful in any disputes or trouble.
- Confident, motivated and able to plan things well.
Responsibilities
- Know the food and drinks served at the pub inside out
- Make recommendations to customers and make sure they have a great experience
- Keep communication flowing between front of house and the kitchen for seamless service
- Make sure the team is working efficiently at all times
- Support the Manager and Deputy Manager at all times
- Keep provisions well stocked and refill supplies when required
- Work with your manager on marketing and events, and set targets to boost profits
- Answer customer queries and be on hand throughout service
