Job summary

NRL is seeking an experienced Permit to Work Coordinator to support safe, compliant operations on a major decommissioning and carbon capture project in Talacre. Based on a 2‑year contract, the role requires strong PTW expertise in oil and gas, with duties covering permit issuance, site walkthroughs and multi‑disciplinary coordination.

Based in Talacre, this full‑time position operates on a 2‑year contract with a 5.5‑day week and outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Permit to Work Officer or PTW Coordinator in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of permit control, safety management and compliance auditing.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and process permit requests in line with PTW procedures.
• Conduct site walkthroughs for areas covered under permits.
• Collaborate with Area Authorities, Performing Authorities, contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure all work control documents (Isolations, Gas Testing, exclusion drawings, P&IDs, etc.) are valid and referenced.
• Issue and authorise permits.
• Manage SIMOPS to coordinate site activities.
