Our client, a large contractor with long-term projects, is currently seeking a PTS Senior Site Engineer/Sub-Agent to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves overseeing construction work and managing site activities within the rail sector in and around Bristol, with potential work in Swindon. This three-month contract has the potential to extend based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing construction work and ensuring project specifications are met
  • Leading the engineering function and managing site activities
  • Supervising site personnel and ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Conducting geotechnical works with a focus on soil nailing
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders
  • Reporting on project progress and site conditions
  • Adhering to rail infrastructure standards and regulations
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in site engineering within the rail sector
  • Proficiency in geotechnical works, especially soil nailing (preferred)
  • Possession of a valid PTS/Sentinel card
  • Engineering qualification
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • Strong leadership and management skills
