Job summary

Nelson and Colne College is seeking a part-time hourly-paid Lecturer in Photography to join the Creative & Digital team. The role is based mainly at the Nelson campus with potential travel to other sites.

The successful candidate may be an experienced practitioner or a newly qualified teacher eager to contribute to an Outstanding organisation. Requirements include 4 GCSEs including Maths and English, a relevant degree, and a recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one within

Qualifications

• Must have 4 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
• A higher degree or advanced qualification (desirable)
• Successful teaching experience in Photography & Media
• Recent commercial/industrial experience particularly in Creative Media (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Teach Photography as part of the Creative & Digital team.
• Deliver high-quality lessons on a part-time basis.
• Be prepared to travel across college sites if required.
