Job description

Shipping Coordinator (Part-Time/Full-Time) - Bracknell

We are seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Shipping Coordinator for our client in the Bracknell area. The ideal candidate will have a background in project or contract support within the Aerospace, Defence, or Security sectors.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing export licence applications and related documentation to comply with UK and international regulations.
  2. Coordinating with freight forwarding agents, assisting in shipment dispatch, and preparing bank claims against Letters of Credit.

Key Skills:

  • Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air certification
  • Experience and understanding of import/export processes
  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Experience with LITE export licence application system
  • Understanding of Letters of Credit
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to undertake ad hoc duties
  • Articulate communicator with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple contracts simultaneously
  • Current forklift licence (advantageous)
  • Work Schedule and Compensation:

    • Office-based position, Tuesday-Thursday, 08:45 am - 5:30 pm (flexible hours)
    • Full-time (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm), GBP 30,000 - GBP 40,000 per annum

    Additional Details:

    • Must own a car due to location; on-site parking available
    • Holiday entitlement: 16 days per year (pro-rata), plus 8 public/bank holidays
    • Two-week shutdown over Christmas & New Year
    • Pension contributions via NEST
