PT Graduate Researcher

Salary circa £25k (36 hours a week) – pro rata to agreed hours

Max Associates is a small, dynamic consultancy working in the local authority sports, physical activity, and cultural sector. Our clients are mainly local authorities and not-for-profits managing sports and leisure centres. We collaborate with organizations like Sport England, national governing bodies, and community groups.

We seek a recent graduate to focus on research for our projects.

Key Projects include:

  • Sports, physical activity, and wellbeing strategies
  • Feasibilities and appraisals for new and refurbished facilities
  • Management options appraisals
  • Support for councils in procuring operators for sports and leisure centres
  • Service, business, and pricing reviews

The role:

Supporting our team with primary desk-based research.

Home-based position.

Research focus includes:

  • Reviewing council strategy documents
  • Demographic and health profile analysis
  • Using Sport England tools to assess participation trends
  • Competition analysis via search engines
  • Facility audits within council areas
  • Report writing and presentation development
  • Specific research as needed per project

Hours:

Negotiable between 2-3 days per week.
