PT Graduate Researcher

Salary circa £25k (36 hours a week) – pro rata to agreed hours

Max Associates is a small, dynamic consultancy working in the local authority sports, physical activity, and cultural sector. Our clients are mainly local authorities and non-profits managing sports and leisure centres. We collaborate with sector organizations including Sport England, national governing bodies, and community groups.

We seek a recent graduate to focus on research aspects of our projects.

Key Projects Include:

• Sports, physical activity, and wellbeing strategies
• Feasibility studies and appraisals for new and refurbished facilities
• Management options assessments
• Support for councils in procuring operators for sports and leisure centres
• Service, business, and pricing reviews

The Role:

Support our consultants and directors with primary desk-based research. This is a home-based role.

Research tasks include:

• Reviewing council strategy documents
• Analyzing demographic and health profiles of catchment areas
• Using Sport England tools to assess activity trends
• Conducting competition analysis via search engines
• Undertaking facility audits
• Report writing and presentation development
• Additional research as needed

Hours:

Negotiable between 2-3 days a week
