Location: London Battersea Power Station
Hours: 8+hours available
Salary: £14.00
As a
Club Host, you will be the face of our club, ensuring every member and guest receives a warm welcome and an exceptional experience. You’ll support daily operations; help coordinate events and uphold the highest standards of customer service and hospitality.
This role is ideal for someone proactive, organised, and engaging – someone who thrives in a premium environment and can create a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Member and Guest Experience
- Greet members and guests, delivering a warm and professional welcome
- Handle inquiries and assist with bookings, memberships, and general club information
- Anticipate and respond to member and guest needs to ensure a high level of satisfaction
Facility Management
- Take ownership of the club’s presentation, including courts, lounge areas, and changing rooms – genuine care for the space is essential
- Ensure all areas are clean, stocked, and maintained to the highest standards at all times
Food and Beverage Service
- Support daily operations of the bar and lounge, delivering excellent service
- Prepare and serve quick-preparation food and beverage options to a high standard
- Prior experience in bar, café, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and hygiene regulations
- Conduct routine checks to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff
Host Responsibilities
- Be a visible, approachable presence in the club – greeting and engaging with members regularly
- Assist with court bookings, equipment hire, and general service delivery
- Handle feedback and resolve issues professionally, ensuring follow-up where required
- Support the planning and delivery of member events and activities to build community engagement
Shift Availability and Flexibility
- Reliability and consistency are critical. The role requires regular afternoon and evening shifts (typically 2pm–10pm) and flexibility to support peak periods, including weekends and events
- Willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the club and provide cover when needed is highly valued
Qualifications And Skills
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in hospitality, leisure, or sport
- Confident, personable, and comfortable building relationships with a wide range of people
- Strong multitasking and organisational skills
- Proactive mindset with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for service excellence
- Interest in padel or willingness to quickly learn about the sport
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene (Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certification highly desirable)
- First Aid certification is a bonus
