A leading NHS healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced psychological therapist to join their Occupational Health team. The role involves providing evidence-based psychological assessment and therapies, supervising other clinicians, and contributing to mental health strategies within the organization. The successful candidate will maintain a caseload and collaborate with various teams to enhance employee wellbeing. The postholder will be a key senior member of UHDB's Occupational Health team, responsible for the in-house specialist psychotherapy service to improve the psychological health and wellbeing of the workforce. The postholder will provide clinical supervision to registered and pre-registered counsellors and psychological therapists where appropriate. They are required to work autonomously within national professional guidelines, the professional code of ethics, and the policies of the Occupational Health (OH) Staff Support Service and the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Trust (UHDB).
As Required, The Postholder Will Be Expected To
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate psychological therapist to deliver high-quality therapeutic services and clinical supervision within our Occupational Health team. The role involves providing evidence-based psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to employees, supporting individual mental health and organisational wellbeing. The successful candidate will supervise other clinicians, manage complex cases, assess and manage risk, and collaborate across HR and Occupational Health teams. They will uphold clinical governance standards, maintain detailed records, contribute to service development, and promote a supportive, ethical therapeutic environment.
