Arc School Ansley is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist who will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our pupils, developing tailored care plans, and utilising effective communication skills to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Conduct thorough assessments of pupils' mental health needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
2. Provide individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support for our pupils.
5. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
6. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in psychotherapy.

What we’re looking for:

1. A recognised qualification in psychotherapy or counselling is essential.
2. Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with pupils from diverse backgrounds.
3. Familiarity with developing care plans and utilising IT systems is advantageous.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental well-being are crucial for success in this position.
5. Proficiency in IT systems for documentation.

Who are we?

Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
