Job summary

The Royal Marsden Hospital is seeking a psychosexual and relationship therapist (or psychologist/psychotherapist with relevant experience) to join the Adult Psychological Support Service (APSS). The role is 0.4 WTE, AfC Band 7, onsite two days per week (Chelsea and Sutton).

You will provide specialist psychosexual and relationship therapy to cancer patients and their partners, offer supervision, and contribute to policy and service development within a multidisciplinary cancer care setting.

Qualifications

• Post-Graduate Diploma level training in Psychosexual Therapy, COSRT accredited.
• Registered with COSRT/BACP or other recognised therapy body.
• Post-Graduate Master’s level training in Psychosexual Therapy, COSRT or psychotherapy training.
• Post-Graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology (BPS accredited).
• Registered with HCPC.

Responsibilities

• Provide a qualified psychosexual and relationship therapy service to cancer patients as part of APSS.
• Offer specialist advice and consultation to APSS and MDT colleagues.
• Provide clinical supervision to trainees and to medical/nursing/AHP colleagues.
• Contribute to service policy, development and audit.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and department policies.
