A leading education agency seeks a Psychology Teaching Assistant for roles in Barnet starting September 2025. Hours: 8.30am - 4pm approximately
Salary: 19,500 - 22,500

Psychology Teaching Assistant - responsibilities
As a Psychology Teaching Assistant, you will work on a 1:1 basis with primary pupils who have learning difficulties such as autism, dyslexia and/or ADHD.
Your role will involve:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students in the classroom - mainly English and Maths support.
Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).
Supporting pupils with emotional difficulties.
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborating with external practitioners to support pupils in their therapy sessions.
Encouraging independence and confidence in students.

Psychology Teaching Assistant - requirements:
A 2:1 or above from a top UK university - Psychology graduates are desirable
Experience working with young people in either a formal or informal setting
Excellent communication skills
Positive personality and eager to learn
A good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions - potential is key
