About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Psychology lessons at A-Level, following exam specifications and incorporating current psychological research and ethical considerations.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and research proficiency, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, debates, and research projects.
  • Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and research reports, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum, integrating current psychological trends and research methodologies, and participate in departmental planning.
  • Supervise student research projects and support their progression to higher education.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a strong Psychology subject knowledge, including research methods and ethical considerations.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Psychology at A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and research skills.
