We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Psychology Teacher to join our school in Shrewsbury, teaching Psychology at KS4 and KS5. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with the potential to take on additional responsibilities with the opportunity for a TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility).

About the Role

As a Psychology Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Psychology, covering topics such as research methods, biological psychology, and social psychology
  • Inspire students to think critically and develop a deep understanding of human behaviour
  • Support students in achieving their best results at KS4 and KS5, preparing them for exams and further studies
  • Work alongside a passionate team to create an engaging, innovative curriculum
  • Take on potential additional responsibilities, leading initiatives within the Psychology Department or across the school (TLR opportunity)

What We’re Looking For

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and KS5
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Psychology, particularly in areas such as research methods and behavioural psychology
  • Demonstrates a passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring students
  • Is interested in taking on leadership responsibilities, with the potential for a TLR
  • Is an excellent communicator and able to build strong relationships with students and colleagues alike
