Job description

A fantastic opportunity has become available at a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Nottingham for a talented Psychology Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role teaching Psychology at KS4 and KS5, with opportunities for progression for the right candidate.

About the Role:

The successful Psychology Teacher will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students studying GCSE and A-Level Psychology

  • Inspire students with a passion for understanding human behaviour and mental processes

  • Support student progress through targeted feedback, assessment and intervention

  • Collaborate with a friendly and ambitious Social Sciences department

  • Contribute to curriculum development and potentially lead on areas such as mental health awareness or interdisciplinary learning

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a Psychology Teacher who:

  • Holds a Psychology degree and QTS or equivalent qualification

  • Has experience teaching Psychology to KS4 and KS5

  • Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and rigour to the classroom

  • Can motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential

  • Is committed to professional development and collaboration
