Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and insightful Psychology Teacher to join a Social Sciences or Sixth Form team working part time and beginning September 2025. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity and analytical thinking, delivering high-quality lessons that make complex ideas accessible and engaging.

Duties as a Psychology Teacher:

  • Teach Psychology at a secondary level.
  • Design and deliver thought-provoking lessons that bring psychological theory and research to life.
  • Prepare students for exams and coursework assessments.
  • Support students in developing independent study skills, critical thinking and academic writing.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities such as psychology clubs, revision workshops, or guest speaker events.

Ideal Psychology Teacher:

  • (Desirable) Experience teaching secondary level psychology.
  • QTS and a degree in Psychology or a closely related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Psychology.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students with a variety of teaching strategies.
  • A reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development.
