Overview

Are you an experienced Psychology Teacher looking for your next long-term opportunity in Birmingham?

Winner Education are working with a secondary school in Great Barr who are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join them from September on a full-time basis for the full academic year. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, helping students prepare for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Psychology lessons
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of student needs and learning styles
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and focused learning environment
  • Support student progress and exam readiness for GCSE and A-Level Psychology
  • Monitor and assess pupil performance, providing regular feedback and reports
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure curriculum standards are met
  • Lead or support revision and intervention sessions when needed
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and progress
  • Attend parent evenings and contribute to school life beyond the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have recent experience teaching Psychology in a UK secondary school
  • Be confident teaching GCSE and A-Level Psychology
  • Hold QTS or a degree in Psychology with relevant teaching experience
  • Have a good understanding of supporting students with additional needs (SEN)
  • Show strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be flexible, professional, and a collaborative team member
