I am looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Psychology Teacher to teach KS4 and 5 in a secondary school, located in Bath. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons that develop critical thinking , research skills and applied knowledge of the curriculum. The environment of the school is ambitious and the community is collaborative. There is a clear emphasis on academic ambition as well as a nurturing ethos within the pastoral part of the school

The role starts in September in a position of 4 days a week. The role would suit a teacher with a genuine passion for the subject who can create stimulating lessons and an ability to direct and adapt curriculum to support individual needs. The role would expect experience planning and marking as well as as a Science Teacher though not essential

Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver Psychology lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Encourage participation in classes.
  • Planning and Marking of work
  • Foster an exciting and secure environment of learning.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff.

Requirements :

  • QTS and a degree in a relevant field
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working in secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
