Job summary

Burnley College is seeking a Lecturer in Psychology (Maternity Cover) to teach across the College Curriculum with detailed knowledge of AS/A Level and/or Higher Education Psychology specifications. You will plan and evaluate teaching, accurately assess and monitor student work, and provide effective tutorial and pastoral support while maintaining high quality records.

You will contribute to curriculum development and assist with recruitment and admissions to support student success.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering AS/A Level or Higher Education Psychology teaching.
• Ability to assess student work, monitor progress and provide effective feedback.
• Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach across the College Curriculum in Psychology and related programmes.
• Plan and evaluate teaching to ensure high achievement for all students.
• Assess and monitor student work; provide pastoral support and maintain records.
• Contribute to curriculum development and college marketing, including recruitment and admissions.
