Overview

Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant. Want school-based experience that links directly to Educational Psychology or teacher training? Use your psychology background to remove barriers to learning for KS2 pupils. Immediate start until July 2026. £81 - £101 per day. A "Good" primary school in Ladywood with a supportive SEN culture.

Role involves 1:1 and small-group SEN support across KS2.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for KS2 pupils with additional needs.
  • Break tasks into clear steps, use visual aids and routines, and coach regulation and social-communication skills.
  • Pre-teach key content, run short catch-up sessions in literacy and numeracy, and log quick progress notes to inform next steps with the class teacher and SENCo.
Requirements
  • Degree - 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS – held already or willing to obtain.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – interest in SEN, child development, and pupil wellbeing.
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering).
