Are you a psychology graduate interested in working with children with behavioural and mental health needs? We are currently seeking confident and proactive graduates with a good understanding of child mental health to work as teaching assistants in various schools.
As a specialist teaching assistant, you will work with pupils on a 1-to-1 and group basis during the school day. Pupils will range in age from 5 to 19 years old and may have identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN, including ASD needs, requiring full-time support. Your role will involve working in classrooms, in specialist mentoring sessions, and during some break times. Some pupils may display challenging behaviour, and the school can provide training in suitable interventions and approaches. You will collaborate closely with the school's SENCO, senior management team, and outside agencies such as therapists, healthcare professionals, and CAMHS.
