Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Bramhall
Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week
Contract: Full-time | Immediate Start | Until end of academic year (potential to become permanent)

Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people? Would you like to gain practical experience in a secondary school environment before pursuing a career in education, mental health, or child psychology?

Teaching Personnel is working with a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated secondary school in Bramhall to appoint a full-time Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in SEN, SEMH, or educational psychology to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a supportive and professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with additional needs

Work closely with SENCo and teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions

Support students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges

Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

Deliver one-to-one and small group support, both in and out of the classroom

Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress and development

Key Information:

Location: Bramhall

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Weekly pay: £419.25 - £500 via Teaching Personnel

Duration: Until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent offer

Ideal Candidate:

A degree in Psychology (or a related subject)

A genuine interest in child development, mental health, or education

Confident, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students

Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive approach to challenges

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
