Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Bramhall
Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week
Contract: Full-time | Immediate Start | Until end of academic year (potential to become permanent)

Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people? Would you like to gain practical experience in a secondary school environment before pursuing a career in education, mental health, or child psychology?

Teaching Personnel is working with a 'Good' Ofsted-rated secondary school in Bramhall to appoint a full-time Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in SEN, SEMH, or educational psychology to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a supportive and professional setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with additional needs
  • Work closely with SENCo and teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions
  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support, both in and out of the classroom
  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress and development
Job Details:
  • Location: Bramhall
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Weekly pay: £419.25 - £500 via Teaching Personnel
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: Until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent offer
Minimum Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology (or a related subject)
  • A genuine interest in child development, mental health, or education
  • Confident, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
