Aspire People in Manchester are recruiting Psychology Graduates to support primary schools with SEND. Become a Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 and small-group assistance, helping children access classroom learning and improve communication and social development.

Ideal candidates hold a psychology degree, show genuine interest in SEND and learning development, and can build positive relationships while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Child Psychology or related subject.
• Genuine interest in SEND and child development.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with SEND
• Helping children access classroom learning
• Supporting communication and social development
• Encouraging emotional regulation and independence
• Assisting with interventions and learning activities
• Supporting positive behaviour
• Building trusting relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
• Monitoring progress and sharing observations
