A Specialist School in Reading is looking for a Psychology Graduate to work as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) and join their team either immediately or in September. You will be working with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
As an LSA, you will learn about the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs of each student and how to attend to these. You will help identify triggers and barriers to learning, as well as implement your knowledge of psychological theory and apply it in the classroom. This may be in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis. Above all else, you will help ensure every pupil feels safe and supported in school, and help make the classroom a fun and exciting place!
