Year 2 SEND Support Teaching Assistant | Psychology Graduate Job | Immediate Start

A welcoming primary school in Heaton is on the lookout for a compassionate and switched-on Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 2 with SEND needs. What you will be doing:

  • Providing one-to-one support that makes a real difference
  • Helping your pupil feel calm, confident and included
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Helping children develop their communication, social, and fine motor skills through creative play and hands-on activities.
  • Creating a safe, encouraging space where every child feels valued and included.
  • Core hours:Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 16:00
  • Start date: ASAP

About you:

  • Recent psychology graduate or soon-to-be graduate with a passion for working with young children.
  • Patient, empathetic, and ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
  • Great communication skills and a natural ability to connect with children.
  • Willing to get stuck in, learn on the job, and bring energy to every day.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
