Job description

We are currently working with a dedicated specialist school in Tilehurst seeking a caring and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time, term-time basis. The school supports children and young people aged 3-19 with severe learning disabilities, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Key Information - Psychology Graduate Role:

* Start Date: ASAP

* Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)

* Location: Tilehurst

* Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (term-time only)

The role of psychology graduate would suit someone who:

* Has a warm, approachable, and engaging personality

* Remains calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations

* Ideally has some experience working with children or young people (not essential)

* Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs

* Is exploring a long-term career in education, psychology, or youth services

* Holds a minimum of a grade C/Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English

Key Responsibilities of a psychology graduate :

* Provide academic and emotional support to pupils in class

* Help create a safe, positive learning environment

* Work one-on-one or in small groups, delivering tailored interventions

* Monitor student progress and share insights with the wider school team

* Assist with the management of behaviours in a supportive, non-confrontational manner
