Job summary

Protocol Education Limited in Sutton and Epsom is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing. You'll work alongside teachers in primary schools to deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions, helping children overcome challenges and build confidence.

Qualifications

• Psychology graduate or related degree.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people.
• Patient, empathetic and emotionally intelligent.
• Curious about child development, learning and behaviour.
• Keen to gain meaningful experience in education.
• Experience working with children through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, care work, youth work or volunteering (helpful but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small group interventions.
• Working with children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
• Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing within the classroom.
• Assisting teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Becoming a positive role model for children who need encouragement and support.
