Job description

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in children's lives? Do you want to support the growth and well-being of young people in a rewarding role?

We are currently working with a dedicated specialist school in Tilehurst seeking a caring and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time, term-time basis. The school supports children and young people aged 3-19 with severe learning disabilities, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Key Information - Psychology Graduate Role:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: 85- 100 per day (depending on experience)
  • Location: Tilehurst
  • Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (term-time only)

The role of psychology graduate would suit someone who:

  • Has a warm, approachable, and engaging personality
  • Remains calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations
  • Ideally has some experience working with children or young people (not essential)
  • Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Is exploring a long-term career in education, psychology, or youth services
  • Holds a minimum of a grade C/Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English

Key Responsibilities of a psychology graduate :

  • Provide academic and emotional support to pupils in class
  • Help create a safe, positive learning environment
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups, delivering tailored interventions
  • Monitor student progress and share insights with the wider school team
  • Assist with the management of behaviours in a supportive, non-confrontational manner
