Job summary

Aspire People is seeking five caring SEN Teaching Assistants to support students in specialist schools across Oxford. Roles are full-time, term-time only, with temp-to-perm progression and an immediate start.

No SEN experience? Transferable experience is welcome—teaching/learning support, youth work, care, nursery, sports coaching or customer service.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, with safeguarding and vetting checks required before starting.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be patient, compassionate and reliable when working with children and young people.
• Transferable experience in teaching/learning support, youth work, care or other people-focused roles is welcome.
• No SEN experience is required, but a willingness to learn and develop is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in SEN settings and assist teaching staff in daily activities.
• Help manage classroom routines, assist with learning tasks and behaviour support.
• Contribute to safeguarding and pupil development through patient, reliable and respectful engagement.
