A recruitment agency is seeking a Psychology or Criminology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs in London. This role involves working closely with children on an individual basis during the school day and requires a strong passion for helping children with behavioural needs. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, and training will be provided for suitable interventions.

As a specialist teaching assistant you will work with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis during the school day. Pupils aged 5 to 11 years have identified behaviour, SEMH, or SEND needs (including ASD) that require full-time support. You will work with pupils in the classroom, in specialist mentoring sessions and during some break times. Some pupils may display challenging behaviour, and the school will provide training in suitable interventions and approaches. You will be part of the child’s support team, working closely with the SENCO and senior management, as well as outside agencies including therapists, healthcare professionals and CAMHS.
