You will be working with adults with learning disabilities, including those who have autism, alongside addressing conditions like depression, self-harm, physical health concerns, and psychological distress including trauma.
As a Psychology Assistant, you will have the opportunity to assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment for our service users, under the supervision of the Senior Psychologist. You will also assist with clinically related administration, including conducting audits, collecting statistics, developing audit and research projects, teaching, and project work.

You will be working at Cefn Carnau, a modern, new-build, low secure hospital providing person-centred care and support for adults with learning disabilities, including those with autism. Service users may also present with mental health problems, including Personality Disorders (PD).
The aim at Cefn Carnau is to reduce mental health issues and challenging behaviors, providing a setting where risk can be managed and reduced, allowing service users to step down into community living.
