Overview

Psychology/Sociology Teacher – South Birmingham (near Harborne)

We are currently supporting a good mixed mainstream secondary school in South Birmingham, near the Harborne area, who are seeking a dedicated Psychology and/or Sociology Teacher to join them as soon as possible on a full-time basis. This supply role is full time and ongoing until at least the end of December, potentially into 2026 too. QTS, QTLS, ECT and UQT are all encouraged to apply. This secure and happy Birmingham secondary school are very supportive and happy to meet for an informal chat in the first instance to discuss the role in more details.

Role Details
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Full-time: 5 days per week
  • Short-term placement until at least Christmas
  • Teaching KS4 & KS5 Psychology and/or Sociology
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that inspire students’ progress and understanding
  • Supporting students across all aspects of the curriculum
Requirements
  • QTS, QTLS, or ECT status (essential)
  • Specialism in Psychology and/or Sociology with experience teaching KS4–KS5
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring young people
