Psychologist (Therapeutic Children’s Residential Care)
Location Newcastle/Northumberland
Salary 45k pro rata
Part Time

Right-Trak are looking for a psychologist to lead clinical practice in our three children’s homes.
Our therapeutic framework is informed by psychodynamic, object relations theory and brain development research which acknowledges the impact of early trauma and neglect upon attachment and psychopathology.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment and intervention:
Conducting psychological assessments, formulating treatment plans, and providing direct therapy to a small number of children.

Consultation and Training:
Offering regular specialist consultation and training to residential staff

Safeguarding:
Identifying and addressing potential risks to the child’s well-being, including safeguarding concerns

Service Development:
Contributing to the development and evaluation of the service ensuring it is psychologically informed and trauma responsive

Essential Skills and Experience:
HCP Registered
Experience working with children who have experienced complex trauma, adversity, and disrupted relationships
Excellent communication, consultation and training skills
Experience providing clinical supervision to other professionals
