You will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the direction and supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans. Job responsibilities

Working part-time 22.5 hours a week, you will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring that the patient is engaged in their care pathway.
  2. Supporting clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs.
  3. Developing new initiatives and ways of working within the service.
  4. Collaborating with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways.
  5. Developing and managing groupwork programs and innovative therapeutic approaches, with appropriate outcome measures.
  6. Maintaining the highest standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology, registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience working with clients with complex needs relevant to the service area.
  • Competency in psychological assessment, formulation skills, and learning new assessment methods.
  • Experience with risk assessment/management tools and formulation.
  • Clinical therapy skills in one or more therapeutic modalities.
