Job description

Are you an experienced Psychologist looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference and change lives for the better? If so, join the team at Crossley Place in Rainhill and enjoy support from a regional network of psychologists.

Working part-time 22.5 hours a week, you will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist.

As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in managing a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support care plans.

You will be part of an environment that emphasizes teamwork and CPD, with continuous access to training opportunities to advance your career.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring patient engagement in their care pathway.
  • Supporting clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs.
  • Developing new initiatives and ways of working within the service area.
  • Collaborating with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways.
  • Developing and managing groupwork programs and innovative therapeutic approaches, with appropriate outcome measures.
  • Maintaining high standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology, registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience working with clients with complex needs relevant to the service population.
  • Skills in psychological assessment and formulation, with a willingness to learn new assessment methods.
  • Competency in risk assessment/management tools and formulation.
  • Experience in clinical therapy modalities.
