Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a HCPC registered psychologist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team at Dovetree School in Hinckley on a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will support educational and residential colleagues with therapeutic living and learning environments for children and young people with SEMH needs.

The role involves clinical assessment, formulation and delivering individualized interventions, plus consultancy and workshops for teams. Term-time options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Qualified HCPC registered psychologist with experience in education or SEND settings.
• Proven ability to assess, formulate and support therapeutic interventions for CYP with complex SEMH needs.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams and delivering living/learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised therapeutic interventions based on clinical assessment.
• Offer workshops, training and guidance to educational and residential teams.
• Support multidisciplinary clinical team to permeate therapeutic practice across settings.

Dovetree School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Heath (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of other associated conditions.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise andbreadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.

Our Psychologists work collaboratively within our schools and children’s homes, this ensures that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care and support we offer all of our children and young people. You will provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around our children.
