Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join City Health Care Partnership’s Specialist Weight Management Team. The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team, assessing and providing evidence-based treatment for obese patients experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues.

Applicants must be BABCP registered and able to communicate sensitively, effectively, non-judgmentally, and compassionately, working well within an MDT.

The role involves psychological assessment and delivery of evidence-based Step 2 CBT treatments for obese patients with mental health issues. It also includes onward referral to local Talk Therapy or Secondary Mental Health Services. The successful candidate will collaborate with the MDT to develop appropriate, evidence-based treatment plans to support weight loss.

You will be proactive in your professional development, engaging in peer and individual supervision. Training, support, and supervision will be provided to develop skills and maintain BABCP registration.

The position is based at Marfleet Health Centre in Hull, with work expected at various other locations across the city.
