Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) is seeking a motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Brent Talking Therapies team. The role sits in a stepped‑care model delivering low‑intensity interventions and assessments across Brent, with both on‑site and remote work options.

You will work under supervision with other clinicians, build links to community services, and contribute to service development and patient care, in line with CNWL values and IAPT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Evidence of working with people with mental health problems.
• Experience in IAPT/Primary Care services and delivering low‑intensity interventions.
• Experience using electronic patient management systems (IAPTUS/PCMIS or similar).
• Experience and knowledge of risk assessment and management.

Responsibilities

• Accept referrals via service protocols and participate in triage with clinicians.
• Assess and support self-management of recovery for common mental health problems.
• Conduct patient-centered interviews to identify change areas and risk.
• Deliver evidence-based low‑intensity treatments (face-to-face, telephone or Teams).
• Educate and involve family members when appropriate; meet activity targets.
