A healthcare provider in the NHS is offering a part-time position for an adult psychological therapist/EMDR therapist in Chelmsford. We are excited to be offering an opportunity for an adult psychological therapist/EMDR therapist to join us part time (0.6 WTE). The main duties of this post are the psychological assessment and treatment of clients who suffer with complex PTSD and trauma related difficulties and who may also be presenting with co‑morbidities (e.g. emotional dysregulation, ASD, etc.). We are looking for someone specifically trained in EMDR with experience in delivering this intervention and working with complex cases. We are open to considering candidates with a variety of mental health backgrounds and qualifications (e.g. nursing, OT, etc.) as long as they have recognised training in EMDR and experience of working with adults with complex presentations. Specialist EMDR supervision will be provided.
In Mid Essex, psychological services are fully integrated within multi-disciplinary teams covering a broad geographical area, with bases in Chelmsford, Braintree and Maldon. We work alongside a variety of experienced professionals from different backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to work within supportive MDTs and highly experienced clinical/counselling psychologists and psychotherapists. We are looking for someone competent and experienced in delivering psychological assessments and interventions within the context of the NHS. Experience of offering consultation and developing trauma informed clinical formulations is essential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience with clients who can display severe emotional disturbance, often with a history of trauma and multiple morbidities.
The post-holder will be expected to contribute to multi-disciplinary treatment planning, audit and service evaluation.
