Overview
An exciting opportunity to develop the Infant Mental Health (IMH) Service in NHS Forth Valley. We are recruiting an enthusiastic Psychological Therapist to work within the IMH sub-specialty for Children & Young People’s Psychological Services, to shape the service for infants (aged 0-3) in Forth Valley.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychological assessment and intervention to infants (0–3 years) and support their families/carers.
- Work within the IMH sub-specialty, collaborating with Women’s & Children’s Services, Paediatric Psychology, and Adult Psychological Services colleagues where appropriate.
- Engage in evidence-based, person-centred and collaborative practice, and participate in multi-agency work as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and in a programme of clinical CPD; take advantage of supervision and opportunities for specialist clinical interests.
- Contribute to the team’s governance, clinical supervision, and job planning processes, and support service development activities.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Mental Health Qualification (e.g., RMN, MHO, AHP, CAAP).
- Training in two evidence-based psychological interventions is required.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex problems is advantageous.
- Experience or training in attachment-based interventions and trauma would be beneficial.
