Job description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Consultant with extensive Learning Disability experience.

We are looking for an experienced Locum Consultant Psychiatrist to join our LD Psychiatry team in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric care within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Provide clinical leadership and support to junior medical staff and multidisciplinary team members.
  3. Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and contribute to service development initiatives.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
  2. Extensive experience in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry within the NHS.
  3. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
