Location: Northern Ireland
Contract Type: Full-Time, Locum
Duration: 6 Months (ASAP Start)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join an Inpatient Mental Health Unit. This full-time locum position offers an immediate start for an initial 6-month contract, providing vital care and clinical leadership in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the assessment, treatment, and management of adult inpatients with complex mental health needs

Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centred care

Lead ward rounds, contribute to care planning meetings, and provide guidance to junior medical staff

Ensure high standards of documentation, risk management, and compliance with legal frameworks

Engage in quality improvement and service development initiatives

Requirements:

Full GMC registration with a license to practise

Proven experience in inpatient mental health care

Excellent leadership, clinical, and communication skills
