Job Description

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community we serve in!

Position Summary: Responsible for providing culturally competent psychiatric evaluation; safety assessment; medication evaluation and on-going medication management and monitoring; team and utilization management consultation; and staff training. Integration of medical and psychiatric related issues. Services provided for clients of Family Service of Rhode Island and outside communities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  1. Current valid license to practice in Rhode Island
  2. Current DEA Certificate & Number
  3. Must be Board certified or have met the training requirements for Board eligibility in the Specialty or Specialties in Adult Psychiatry
  4. Experience with adults from diverse social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  5. Experience providing psychiatric treatment to adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders
  6. Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
  7. Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated
  8. Flexible schedule with some evenings
  9. Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must
  10. Ability to work independently and part of a team
  11. Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
  12. Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

  1. Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
  2. Ability to communicate effectively
  3. Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators
  4. Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  5. Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements
