OPTIMIND in Melbourne (Box Hill area) is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. You will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions and work closely with a multidisciplinary group to improve patient outcomes.

• Medical degree with a Postgraduate Qualification in Psychiatry.
• Current registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist with AHPRA.
• Experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and determine treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling when indicated.
• Collaborate with psychologists and social workers for optimal care.
• Keep accurate, confidential patient records in line with ethical standards.

About The Role

We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessing mental health conditions and determining appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring patients' progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients as indicated.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists and social workers, to provide optimal care.
• Stay informed of the latest developments in psychiatry and mental health treatment, incorporating new research and approaches into patient care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with Post Graduate Qualification in Psychiatry.
• Current registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions.
