CD Auto Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking PSV engineers for permanent roles across South and South West London. You will maintain a busy fleet of PSV vehicles within state-of-the-art facilities, performing servicing, repairs and inspections to high safety standards.

The role offers rotating shift patterns with strong earning potential and clear progression opportunities, including extensive overtime and ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Experience as PSV Engineer, Bus Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• DVSA inspection knowledge and maintenance practices

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV vehicles
• Complete scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Identify and repair defective or worn components
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately
• Ensure all work meets DVSA and company standards
• Support fleet availability and minimise downtime
• Maintain high Health & Safety and workmanship standards

JOB DESCRIPTION

Looking for a high-paying PSV Engineer role with strong earning potential, modern facilities and genuine long-term progression?

We are recruiting multiple experienced PSV Engineers for permanent positions across South and South West London.

You will join a well-established passenger transport engineering operation working from modern, newly developed facilities and maintaining a busy fleet of vehicles to high safety and reliability standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV vehicles
• Completing scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Identifying and repairing defective or worn components
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
• Completing maintenance documentation accurately
• Ensuring all work meets DVSA and company standards
• Supporting fleet availability and minimising vehicle downtime
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and workmanship

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered, you should ideally have:

• Previous experience as a PSV Engineer, Bus Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent Heavy Vehicle qualification
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Experience servicing and repairing buses, coaches or heavy commercial vehicles
• Good knowledge of DVSA inspection and maintenance standards
• A full UK driving licence

A PCV licence would be advantageous but is not essential.

Experienced HGV Technicians looking to move into the PSV sector may also be considered where they have a strong heavy vehicle background.

SHIFT PATTERN

The role operates on a rotating:

• 7 Days On / 3 Days Off
• 7 Days On / 4 Days Off

This pattern provides regular extended periods away from work while maintaining strong earning potential.
